If you are ever in Edinburgh and need something to do in an evening I would recommend Mercat Tours (mercattours.com) these guys offer different types of walking tours around Edinburgh but primarily down the mile and in the vaults under the south bridge). I would highly recommend it!! I also visited some time in a couple of churches in Edinburgh; St John's Episcopal Church, Princes Street and St Giles' Cathedral, Royal Mile (Technically, St Giles' High Kirk, Royal Mile) both churches are tremendous resources to Edinburgh and are peaceful oases in a very busy city. Would recommend visiting them!

Secondly, I travelled to Glasgow (knife capital of Scotland ;) ) I had a really time in Glasgow. Where liked I did in Edinburgh caught up with some friends who are there, visited around the city centre picked up a new pair of trainers after losing a pair that were attached to my bag (not well, apparently). Whilst in Glasgow I went in by a few museums, the Lighthouse in the city centre (found this there - see right hand side), Kelvingrove art gallery and Museum, the Tall Ships and the transport museum. I walked most of the bridges in Glasgow which was good fun! (I like walking, I'm weird OK!).

The church I visited in Glasgow was St Mary's Scottish Episcopal Cathedral. Where the sermon that was delivered by the new Diocesan Canon Missioner who's sermon main message was that by entertaining the lowest people in society we may be entertaining angels. I would thoroughly recommend visiting the cathedral. (Link to sermon: https://vimeo.com/180482197)

I am just annoyed that I wasn't in Glasgow the following Sunday as Prof. John Curtice of Strathyclyde University who is a member of the cathedral was giving a Q&A on Brexit :(

I found a TARDIS in Glasgow, on Buchanan Street, I was chuffed :D

Now commuting from Glasgow to Sandhurst was certainly eventful, first the carriage I was on did not have working Air Conditioning (it was bank holiday weekender, and over 20C), to which I engaged in a twitter conversation with Virgin Trains East Coast, safe to say when I twitted that they put profits before people I didn't get a response. We unexpectedly had to stop at Retford and were there for nearly 2 hours due to there a fire that had occurred farther down the line and had damaged some of the electricals overhead. Once I reached London, I then got lost on the tube system (I'm Scottish and have never been on the tube before). I reached my auntie's 2 hours later than planned after getting on the wrong tube but was just wanting to reach a point of safety.

Bible Verse:

1 Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. 2 Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. (Hebrews 13:1-2, NIV)
